HELP
1. The new website now is phone and tablet friendly, and has a forum for your discussions. Legal stuff, Links and Shop are under the Home Tab. Sponsors and Help are under the Contact us tab. The page top menus will take you directly to the area you want.
1a There appears to be a top menu limitation on this site, starting 02-11-14 for users of XP.
In upgrading the Weebly code, Weebly say that the XP software operating system and thus Internet Explorer v8 are now not compatible, since both are time expired.
Options: 1 Keep going and use the alternative submenus, by pressing the top main tab of your choice.
2 Install and use Chrome Browser.
3 Upgrade to Windows 7 or 8 and thus the latest version of Internet Explorer
2. The latest advert link near the top of the home page, goes to the latest sale or wanted advert, of that breed. From there you can scroll through the page to find new registered and unregistered goats. The online dates are at the end of each advert.
3. When filling in the advertisement application forms:
a. Fill in all fields using the drop down menus.
b. Remember the Eartag number is the DEFRA herd number. The Registered Number is the BGS or Breed Society number. Both are needed if the goat is a properly registered goat. Otherwise entries will go in the unregistered part of the breed. Scroll down through the registered portion to get to the unregistered part.
c. Submit once, wait and you will be returned to the main page. This may take several seconds, be patient.
d. The advertisement will stay on the site for 3 months for registered goats in the first instance.
e. If you make an error, correct it first or press the reset button at the bottom of the form, and start again. You should be able to use all the facilities on a tablet
4. If you want to erase the advert after selling or buying successfully, let us know, and it will be done.
5. If you want to change an advert similarly, let us know by form or e-mail. Items for sale should be sent by e-mail, [email protected], with photo if possible. description and price, and we will put them on the Shop page.
6. In order to check entries, and make sure they are genuine, the website is not automatic, and I moderate all entries, hence the delays sometimes. Unless your goats has a BGS or Society registration number, it will be regarded as unregistered.
7. At the bottom of each page there are links (in brown) to the Home page which simplifies navigation
8. We hope the new look will make navigation easier. Any comments, go to the Contact Us or Forum page, and let us know.
